Dubin Clark Closes 8 Deals in 2016 & Exits 2! Actively Seeks New Investment Opportunities
2016 was an eventful year for Dubin Clark, as we had an initial closing on our new Fund, closed eight acquisitions, and exited two businesses.
We welcomed three new platform companies – M&M Event Rentals, BBJ Rentals, and Powerhouse Maintenance – and closed five strategic add-ons related to our PPC Event Rentals, SGA Production Services, and M&M Event Rental portfolio companies. We also welcomed a new team member – Matt Broullire!
After entering into a partnership with Johnny on the Spot (“JOTS”) in early 2014 and, together with management, completing four strategic add-on acquisitions, nearly doubling EBITDA and further cementing JOTS as one of the leading providers of portable sanitation services, we achieved our growth objectives and felt it appropriate for JOTS to join the USS family, which would best allow it to continue achieving its future strategic objectives.
“Dubin Clark has been the ideal partner,” said Jack O’Hayre, former President & CEO of JOTS. “They were very engaged and bought into the company culture from day-one. They supported all of our growth initiatives organically, as well as on the acquisition front. The team at Dubin Clark were true professionals and genuinely cared about the entire team. We are proud to have been part of their portfolio.”
Meeting seller’s timing deadlines, flexibility in deal structuring, and providing certainty of close based on a 33-year track record have contributed to Dubin Clark’s ongoing success.
