Growth Is in the Air!

Astar Heating & Air, a Dubin Clark Portfolio Company, Announces the Acquisition of Auchinachie Plumbing

Astar Heating & Air, LLC (“Astar”) today announced it had completed its first acquisition since partnering with Dubin Clark, acquiring Auchinachie Plumbing, Ltd (“Auchinachie”).

Founded in 1906 and headquartered in Binghamton, New York, Auchinachie is a fourth-generation family business and has over 100 years of experience in providing plumbing, heating, air conditioning, water treatment, and air purification to single family homes primarily serving the Binghamton and surrounding Upstate New York areas in Central New York and the Southern Tier including Norwich, Owego, Johnson City, Cortland and Oneonta.

“This acquisition cements Astar’s expansion into the greater Binghamton area, where Auchinachie’s strong reputation for service quality will complement Astar’s customer-centric approach,” said Michael Hompesch, Partner of Dubin Clark. “Auchinachie’s highly-regarded employees will allow the combined company to more efficiently and effectively service its growing base of residential customers.”

“Astar is excited to welcome Auchinachie’s 100+ year history and driven employees to the team, and is looking forward to working in tandem to increase our geographic reach, product and service offering, and never-ending pursuit of customer satisfaction,” stated John O’Brien, CEO of Astar. “This acquisition represents yet another leap Astar has taken to create a leading plumbing, heating, cooling, and home services provider in the region.”

SF&P Advisors, Inc., one of the country’s leading business sales and valuation firms to the HVAC and plumbing industry, provided strategic partnership services to Auchinachie in this transaction.
